White Prada Leather Tote
I want to purchase a white bag. But I always hear the complaint that white bag is hard to clean. Yet I vow to own a white bag for this spring/summer and keep it clean. Word on the street is that LV is releasing a White Epi line, including a White Epi Alma. But for a laid back possible messenger style bag, this Prada Leather Tote has my heart fluttering. It is simple, only adding braided leather handles to an all together white leather bag. It is practical, adding a detachable shoulder strap which can also allow the bag to be worn as a messenger. It is a great size, a perfect 11”H X 12”L X 5″W. This bag will give my doesn’t-know-it-yet-future White Epi Alma a run for its money.

Gaufre is popular after its release. The ruched leather is done impeccably by Prada and the various options available means that there is most likely a Gaufre that will suit any lady or gent. While browsing the Prada Venice store I was drooling over a creamy supple camel colored lambskin Gaufre. On the other end of the spectrum is the Silver Metallic Prada Nappa Gaufre Messenger which is gleaming and beaming enough for you to view a distorted view of your face everywhere you go. Not totally my style, but intense metallics are in and this messenger is easy to carry around for your summer days. There are two front pockets and an adjustable cross-body strap on this 10” H x 14″W x 5”D bag.

Recently the weather has become beautiful and comfortable. As spring rears her beautiful head around the corner, spring and summer bags are trying to make their way into our arms. Some I am drooling over and some I am laughing at. Take the Prada Tessuto Oro Chain Bag for example. Here you will see a small bag that has an overly long strap to wear this tiny thing across your body and a stencil cut logo plate that is downright tawdry. If you are about 2 feet tall, wearing such a small bag (5″H X 7″L) across your body may look good, but those of us upwards of 2 feet will look silly in this bag. Take me for example, 5′10 sporting a tiny bag that is a fugly and overly tacky logo plate. This is the kind of fug bag that you use to draw attention to yourself, bad attention. If you are desperate, try it in white, black, or orange (Halloween color theme?)

Prada Tote with Canvas and Leather
I enjoy shopping but I am a really awful bargain shopper. In my closet a lot of things are purchased with a low price but I never use them. Now I truly believe if I went for this Prada bag, I would actually use it. The Prada Canvas Leather Tote combines a canvas body with saffiano leather trim and golden hardware. I love the simplicity of this bag with the elegant touch. It is like a plain vanilla cake with a delightful chocolate butter cream frosting. Ok, I lied, it may not be that good, but it is still a great tote nonetheless. The only aspect that could hold me back is the double handle drop, which info is not given on Saks. If this tote did not have enough wiggle room, the large dimensions (15″W X 12”H X 5”D) would end up being far too heavy just to carry by hand, completely defeating its original purpose in my handbag mind. There is an optional shoulder strap, but I find this bag to appear far more elegant over the shoulder on in your hands than across your body. I may be completely off my rocker and wrong though.

Do not complain Prada bags are too expensive or too simple just with the Prada logo. Here comes a perfect one. This wristlet is cute and perfect for so many occasions. The Prada Tessuto Wristlet is a winning design for many reasons, namely the look is chic, the materials will last, and the price is ideal. As much as I prefer leather, the nylon will make this bag perfect for a night out with friends and really ideal for a bar. No worries about party foul, because you can just wipe this wristlet and move on. And then comes into play the fact that there is a strap, which I adore. There are not many clutches out there with wrist straps anymore, but there should be. Hands free are the way to go and it is hard to come by. There is a zipper closure and Prada jacquard lining. Measurements are 8?”W X 10″H X 1″D.

Prada Raso Silver Dressy Clutch
If you are always invited to a part, an elegant evening clutch is necessary. If you are finding a dressy clutch without an absurd price, the Prada Raso Silver Clutch is a definite contender. The pleated silver satin is the perfect swoon-worthy gray color. The dimensions were perfect to have this be hand held, measuring 11″W X 6″H X 1″D. Yet for the life of me I could not figure out how to open this clutch. I pressed, pulled, shook, shimmied, and snapped, but nothing. Finally an SA came over and trying to make a sale told me it was very easy to open; “there is a side clasp that is easy to use”. That was a huge lie. It was not easy to use at first nor easy to find. But this does mean the clutch will not be bursting open easily or letting any of your goods slip out. The price is right and the design is beautiful.

You may not love the over-done lacy Prada Pizzo S Satchel. But you always can find the perfect pick-me-up from Prada. If you are those who were not impressed with the lace, and in fact wanted to take scissors to the lace and trim it up. Was it just the shape of the ‘extra’ material that irked you? Or would you like the bag with leather? Maybe Prada thought they could meet your fancy too, with the Prada Nappa S Satchel, which nixes the lace and brings in luscious Nappa leather. This bag’s ruching detail on the side will still either be loved or hated. There are top handles and a zip closure. While it is available in black, the metallic oak is much more impressive to me.

I am a definitely Prada aficionado. Especially recently I have been completely and totally drawn into any of their bags. There is something about a simple, chic, feminine bag that really grabs me and reels me right in. The price is always taken into consideration, because while I wish I had an unlimited budget, many things take precedence over my handbag collection. So when I see a great bag, and an even better price, I am easily able to justify it to myself. Take the cute little Prada Nappa Mini Clutch for example. It is small but great to go to the bar and even better to throw in your larger bag (dimensions are 7?”W X 4?”H X 1″D). The bag is designed with nappa leather and features a bow detail on the front. Sure it is small, but it is unbelievably cute and hard to pass up.

Prada Napa Messenger Bag with Fringed Shoulder Strap
A new fringe bag that has sparked all sort of debate is the Prada Napa Messenger Bag that I once really despised. Appearing as if it is straight from an episode of That 70’s Show, the Prada Napa Messenger Bag is straight up fugilicious. Sure the Prada name is flung onto this Napa leather bag, but the fringed shoulder strap is a hideous attempt at bringing fringe sexiness back. The only shot they have at making this bag partially appealing is the fact that the fringe shoulder strap is detachable. This means that when the richest of the rich happen to have a dress up 70’s theme party the bag will suit them, and then one day, they can take the monstrosity of a fringe strap off and give it to their pure bred pup as a chew toy.
