Chloé, a name chosen for its warm, feminine appeal, is perfectly in synch with the new mood of Paris: youthful and modern in design, and slightly audacious in spirit. It is founded by Gaby Aghion. With top designers such as Karl Lagerfeld, Martine Sitbon and Stella McCartney as alumni, Chloé has established itself as one of the world’s top design houses. In 1997, Stella McCartney reinvents Chloé once more, with a romantic yet streetwise mix of vintage lingerie, tailoring, and signature low-rider trousers that hit a nerve with young women around the world and propels the house to a new level of success. As well as bringing her “new classic” feel to Chloé, Miss McCartney brought her assistant Phoebe Philo, whose rock-n-roll sensibilities helped Stella revamp the Chloé style. In 2001, the one time assistant Phoebe Philo stepped into Stella McCartney’s shoes as creative director at Chloé. Phoebe Philo continues the Chloé legacy of luxurious, audacious prêt-à-porter whilst stamping the house with her own unique signature: sexy daywear, fluid lines, graceful and distinctly modern diaphanous tops. The 27-year-old, out from behind her big name friend Stella, took to the creative director job naturally. Philo has stood the test of time, and launched the new See Chloé collection as a more casual and less expensive collection. Chloé handbag is one these collections.
