Fendi 2010 Spring Collection

The light fabrics had a vintage feel: chiffon blouses had shawl collars and dresses had messy ruffles on one shoulder and a cap sleeve on the other, as if each one had been meticulously customized. V-neck or backed dresses were belted in shiny metal and thicker linen shorts had high waist bands dawn in by a matching swatch of fabric, before lingerie tool center stage with black athletic pants and bras under sheer black kaftans featuring floral appliqué and vintage lace-edged bras added a coy femininity to the strong Fendi aesthetic. Even the label’s current best-selling bag, the Peekaboo, was toughened up this season by being unlined. And what were the key materials in the super high-heel that underpinned the show? See-through, nylon stocking fabric. |
